花園フォントについて

花園フォント（花園明朝）は自由かつ無償の漢字フリーフォントです。非漢字は一部のみ含まれます。現在は明朝体フォント1ウェイトが提供されています。フォントの生成にはKAGEシステム、Clipper、FontForgeおよびTTXを利用しています。

収録されているグリフはすべてグリフウィキ(GlyphWiki)に登録されているデータを利用しています。このデータは、グリフウィキに登録ユーザーとして、あるいは匿名ユーザーとして漢字字形データを登録・改良してくださった多数の方々によるボランティアの活動から成り立っています。また常にグリフウィキ上においてデータの追加やデザインの改良が行われており、その作業は誰でも行うことができます。

もし花園フォントに対して漢字字種の追加を希望したり、収録グリフのデザイン改良が必要だと思われましたら是非グリフウィキ上での作業に参加してください。参加は匿名でも可能です。またグリフ1つ1つが独立していますので1つだけのグリフに対する作業もできます。グリフウィキではアウトライン形式よりもデザイン作業が容易なKAGEシステムを利用していますので、既存の漢字部品を切り張りしたり、漢字部品を組み合わせることで漢字字形のデザインが可能です。みなさんの参加を広く求めております。

このフォントに含まれている文字種はISO/IEC 10646およびUnicode標準に収録されている87,791字となります。詳細は以下の通りです。

このフォントは、以下のように二分割となっています。

花園明朝A（HanaMinA.ttf）

41,869字（非漢字 3,936字、漢字 29,697字, IVD異体字 8,236字。フォント認識用のU+20000を除く)

花園明朝B（HanaMinB.ttf）

47,082漢字（フォント認識用のU+4E00を除く）

グリフウィキ(GlyphWiki)について

文字種については随時グリフウィキにて追加・更新されています。

グリフウィキは漢字字形のWebデータベースです。みんなで自由に漢字字形の管理を行います。たとえば文字の修正、デザインの調整、新規登録、独自の漢字集合・マッピングによるフォントの作成などが可能です。漢字部品や筆画を組み合わせることにより、図形デザインに熟練していない方でも漢字のデザインができます。作成した漢字字形データはTrueTypeフォントとしての公開やWebページへの埋め込みが可能です。
